Not showing the rage I'm feeling...unless you know me really well. Then you can probably see it.

So, today I was looking at more gay Christian stuff.

And my research brought me to the Westboro Baptist Church.

Ready for it? 'Cause it's comin'.

If you want the simple answer (and the most powerful, in my opinion) then here it is-

The Westboro Baptist Church quotes the New Testament in their arguments, including the book of John.

The most commonly quoted Bible verse of all time is, arguably, John 3:16. Let's take a look, shall we?

The WBC seems to prefer the King James version, so here it is.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

..."that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

..."whosoever believeth in him."

..."WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM."

Get my point?

Oh hey, did you notice the other thing that verse said? The thing about God LOVING the world?

No, God is not all about hate. Nor is He your enemy. He should be your best friend.

Grr.
